100% CNC ported intake, exhaust & chambers

Air Flow Research Eliminator "Street" heads are a cost effective performance choice over re-worked factory heads. Composed of A356 aluminum castings and premium grade components, intake, exhaust, and chambers are 100% CNC ported for better flow and performance. Available runner volumes can vary depending on your preferred application. These heads are ideal for street/strip or towing engines with additional spring pressure options that are offered for applications such as forced induction, nitrous, or cams with aggressive ramp rates. AFR heads require AFR stud girdle. The exhaust port is raised .100 over GM L92 cylinder heads. It is the customers responsibility to verify proper piston to valve clearance. These are available fully assembled, as well as bare. Please keep the bar code and paper work shipped with your heads, which contain all of the specs.

Notes

  • AFR strongly recommends using 7/16" rocker studs on SBC heads with todays fast cam rates and RPM capabilities.
  • SBC heads with 1.625" O.D springs will require some springs to be removed for access to some head bolts during installation.
  • SBC heads are designed for 5/16" .120" thick-wall pushrods, larger pushrods will not fit without clearancing.
  • AFR LT1 heads are machined for both center and perimeter bolt valve covers, bolts must be shortened to 3/16”. These heads are not compatible with self-aligning rocker arms.
  • Using a high volume or high pressure oil pump can submerge the valve seals in oil causing smoke or oil consumption.
  • Use full roller rocker arms, roller tip rockers with stock style bodies are NOT recommended.
