Magnecor's KV85 competition 8.5mm plug wires are originally designed for racing and high-performance engines using high-output ignitions. The insulating jacket is made entirely of Magnecor's exclusive TC-1500-HS high strength aerospace grade silicone rubber and has a service heat resistance of 600° F and up to 1,000°F for short bursts which, even if exceeded, will retain its insulating ability. The jacket is so flexible that even at 8.5mm, they will squeeze into 7mm wire separators. Inside each wire is a 2.5mm metallic inductance electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppressed conductor made of stainless steel windings precisely spaced over a ferrimagnetic core. Unless deliberately severed, Magnecor’s wires will provide full conductance indefinitely. These race wires are recommended for any stock or modified street engine that is electronically managed to improve ignition performance.
