The quality of the pieces that you are going to assemble from this dash conversion are OPGI quality. How they attach is a different story. Pre-fit everything before you begin is a must. Lay it all out so you know what you're up against. In my opinion it is best to save all of the screws you can from the sweep dash you are removing. Those screws ar

You must view the four part YouTube video to properly assemble the pieces including the gauges, switches and wiring harness. As for the heater controls and the radio, the video does not cover those. While my dash experience was difficult yours may or may not. Assembling the gauges per the video did not work for me. It stated to use number eight sheet metal screws to assemble the gauges to the housing but those were the wrong size and I had to install larger ones from the inside out, not like in the video. The manufacturer may have made some changes. I used the original screws from the sweep dash to install the gauge cluster to the SS dash. Things were a little more smooth from there until the main ground wire broke off that goes behind the headlight switch. That could've been my fault. The biggest challenge thus far is trying to attach the heater controls and the AC delete plate to the dash. You can't see that assembly in the video and as I said he doesn't talk about it. The video consists of the gauges and the wiring harness. On the heater controls you will find the mounting post for the screws on the left but none on the right side closest to the glove box. I am in the process of figuring that right now. See photo. Maybe I can come back to this post and update it. And note, after I had my sweep dash out of the Chevelle I had pre-fit the SS dash so I wouldn't have any surprises later. It fit just fine. All in all this isn't for the faint of heart but if I can do it I know you can do it. I had thought about having my original dash reconditioned but the fact of the matter is all that plastic is 45 years old and very brittle. The repo dash's plastic is much better quality than the original. If you buy this conversion I wish you luck. Thanks for reading. Read LessRead less about The quality of the pieces that you are
