Air Flow Research Magnum series heads are designed to increase low and mid-lift Air Flow, while still generating spectacular peak figures with a CNC bowl blend and that provides you with impressive flow numbers. Composed of A356 aluminum castings with partially CNC ported intake runners, exhaust runners, and combustion chambers for better flow and performance while also utilizing premium grade components with solid roller dual valve springs. The available runner sizes for moderate towing, more aggressive and versatile street/strip builds, or radical "Pro-Street" and racing builds with Chevy big blocks providing bottom-end torque, phenomenal throttle response, and all-around power. AFR heads require AFR stud girdles and it is the customers responsibility to verify proper piston to head clearance. These heads should be heavily considered if you're looking for big torque and low-rpm performance while still having responsive drivability. 265cc/109cc heads are recommended for 468 C.I. engines, best for operating below or at 6,200 RPM. 305cc/117cc heads recommended for 396-502 C.I. engines, best for operating below or at 2,500-6,800 RPM. 325cc/117cc heads recommended for 540 C.I engines, best for operating below or at 3,000-7,000 RPM. 345cc/117cc heads are recommended 572 C.I. engines, best for operating range of 3,500-8,000 RPM.
