For starters, ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to even aircraft quality alloys. Then, each stud is placed vertically in a special racking system and heat treated. All studs are ground to make them as close to perfectly concentric as possible. Because of this attention to detail, and manufacturing process that's geared towards such exacting tolerances, you will notice that gaskets and cylinder heads literally glide into position and are perfectly aligned - something that won't happen with inferior quality head studs.
