These “Streetmaster” Quadrajet carburetors from JET Performance are the perfect replacement for a an engine that is stock or loaded with performance parts. Each unit starts with a hand selected core and a complete disassembly, cleaning, and inspection procedure. The casting plugs are sealed with epoxy to prevent leak-down into the intake manifold. All circuits are checked for proper sizing and the calibration is checked for proper jets, primary metering rods and secondary metering rods. Each carburetor features a fully recalibrated idle, off idle, main, accelerator pump and high speed circuits to match the stock engines specifications or mild modifications such as intake manifold, headers, ignition or mild cam change. The carburetor is then reassembled using the highest quality components with a new float, choke pull-off and bronze bushed throttle shafts.
Stage 1: Intended to restore factory performance to stock 350/400/425/455 engines with spread bore intake manifolds. Stage 2: Intended for 350/400/425/455 street-strip engines which feature improved idle quality, instant throttle response and maximum torque and horsepower. Recommended with dual plane intake, headers, 8.2 to 9.5:1 compression, mildly ported or performance heads and camshaft specs of Duration at .050, min. 210 degrees, max. 220 degrees, lobe separation angle 110-112 degrees.
